Hi! I’m Cat, and I write stories about strong women falling in love.

I started writing in elementary school, but I didn’t believe I could do anything with my stories, so eventually, I shifted to the sciences and fell in love with plant biology. But I couldn’t shake the need to tell stories, and finally, in 2020, I gave in.

My first novel was a speculative dystopian novel, but after a PitchWars mentor suggested I read a romance novel by Lyssa Kay Adams, I fell deeply in love with the genre and haven’t looked back.

I’ve been in the query trenches three times with two manuscripts, and I’m currently revising to get back in the trenches again. I’m learning how to balance my writing life with caring for my infant son and sneaking in as much reading as I can in between!

I’m using this blog to jot down lessons I’m learning in the publishing world, share snippets of my work, rant about the books I’m obsessing over, and share photos of my plants. If any of that sounds interesting to you, pull up a chair and bring your favorite drink. <3
